Read →Updated 2026-09-19Crown Siege is a short incremental tower defense from JOrbits Games, published by 2 Left Thumbs. You spawn troops, spend gold and experience, and push a node map to keep an endless wave off your tower.
The 1.0 build launched on September 18, 2026 with 42,000 wishlists. A day-one patch, v1.0.1_a, already changed combat against flying units and capped late-game difficulty.
What the game actually is
The store page calls it a short incremental siege game: grow an army, defend a kingdom, seize the crown from an endless wave. Combat is top-down pixel art. A stone keep sits in an arena; knights, archers and later specialists fight goblins and whatever the current node throws at you.
It is not a fixed-path tower defense. Official notes from the week before launch say progress is no longer a preset sequence of levels. You move between nodes on a map, pick up extra resources, and spend a mix of experience, those resources, and unit-specific SP in a skill tree that grew a lot since the demo.
Sandbox Mode is in the launch build. Anything you have unlocked can be taken there. The developers are explicit that Sandbox is not promised to stay smooth if you push it to the limit.
What this site covers
- Beginner loop: gold, troop buttons, Crowns / XP / SP, and how a node run is supposed to feel.
- Units: every troop name that appears as a Steam achievement, grouped so you can see the unlock order players actually hit.
- Map nodes: Forest, Swamp, Scorched, the farm and garden nodes, Magical Lands, Cursed Kingdom, and the 0.5% "Crown Siege" clear.
- Enemies named in official posts or the achievement list.
- The v1.0.1_a patch, in the developers' wording, because that is the live balance.
- All 42 achievements, with live unlock rates from Steam.
- FAQ: Scouts, Rangers vs Archer upgrades, Ember, Healers in Goblin Lair — marked confirmed or still open.
Numbers we have not seen in a tooltip or an official post are labelled as player reports. We would rather leave a cell empty than invent a gold cost.
